According to invoices we received, by mid-January 2024, the City spent 45% of its $3,000,000, 5-year contract (2022-2027) on one department: the Baltimore Police Department (BPD). The City bought BPD subscriptions to ArcGIS Pro Enterprise and ArcGIS Online with extensions such as Insight, Spatial Analyst, 3D Analyst, Geostatistical Analyst, as well as Managed Cloud Services.
They also invested heavily in training BPD to use Esri products. In 2022, the City spent $369,950 on training for BPD including the Advantage Program, an Esri Training Pass, and extra learning and service credits. In 2022, the City was invoiced $211,156.31 for licenses, subscriptions, cloud services and maintenance of software for the BPD. In 2023, the City was invoiced $356,700 for BPD training with Esri and $370,363.12 in subscriptions, licenses, and maintenance for the BPD. In 2024, the City spent an additional $40,817 on cloud services hosting and setup for the BPD in 2023.
In 2022, BPD won Esri’s Special Achievement in GIS Award.
